Bridget Potter was named senior vice president, original programming, for HBO in October 1983. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HBOΓÇÖs award-winning original programming, which includes music, comedy, drama, documentary and family programming. Potter also manages HBO Downtown Productions, serves as a member of the management committee of Comedy Central, and manages HBO Independent Productions (HIP), HBOΓÇÖs West Coast Production company, which creates and supplies programming to the broadcast networks.
